The Mighty Roots Music Festival is delighted to announce
The Outdoors, Inc. Mighty Gravel Levee Ride
in partnership with the Yazoo-Mississippi Delta Levee Association

The Mighty Levee Gravel Ride is an all-ages, all-abilities bike ride staged on the normally restricted gravel road on top of the Mississippi River Levee, one of the most iconic structures in the Delta.

The Mighty Levee Gravel Ride is the only way to ride the levee legally on a bike!

The ride features a 32.3 mile short course as well as a 53.4 mile long course. Both courses start and end at the Carter Road levee access point in Stovall, MS.

Participants will ride the levee south from Stovall, and they will encounter some unique obstacles including cattle gaps, actual cows, and they stuff cows inevitably leave behind.

At the south end of the course, riders will take a little used high water levee spur that creates a large loop before returning northward.

Short course riders will end their ride at the Carter Road origin point while long course riders will continue north to Moon Lake, where they will turn loop onto MS Hwy 1 for a short southbound stretch before rejoining the levee road and then taking a quick detour through the town of Friars Point, MS before ending at the Carter Road finish line.

There will also be a 2 mile kids course for young one who want to take a special ride!
